Servilletas de San Vicente Azul y Rojo
Set of 4 ivory linen cloth napkins hand-embroidered with floral motifs in shades of red and blue running vertically down the borders of the napkin. The linen napkins are finished with stitched borders in blue and red and were hand-embroidered by artisans in San Vicente Coatlan.
Set in the mountains of Oaxaca among cornfields, San Vicente Coatlan is a close-knit community that has been using its needlepoint technique for hundreds of years. The artisans cross-stitch these designs without implementing a stamp or outline and instead use memory to count the stitches to create symmetrical designs.
