San Antonino

San Antonino is a community in Oaxaca which is located in Southern Mexico, and they specialize in intricate embroidery featuring a floral motif. Each piece travels through three different communities and can take up to a three months to make.

Our classic Flores embroidery needs no introduction, but for those who may be less familiar, these cherished pieces hail from the community of San Antonino Castillo Velasco. The community has been practicing this embroidery for over 200 years.
Each Garment travels through three communities to become a finished piece. The pieces are all first hand-embroidered, which can take up to three months, and then hand-smocked, and finally hand crocheted. A lot of time and tradition goes into each of these very special pieces.
