Servilletas de San Vicente Rojo
Set of 4 ivory linen cloth napkins hand-embroidered with floral motifs in shades of red running vertically down the borders of the napkin. The linen napkins are finished with stitched borders in red and were hand-embroidered by artisans in San Vicente Coatlan.
Set in the mountains of Oaxaca among cornfields, San Vicente Coatlan is a close-knit community that has been using its needlepoint technique for hundreds of years. The artisans cross-stitch these designs without implementing a stamp or outline and instead use memory to count the stitches to create symmetrical designs.
